How you can arrange secured email storage and hide electronic communications from others?

One of protection methods is to place mail client's (such as MS Outlook or The Bat) files, which store all emails in special encrypted file containers of Atlansys Bastion program.

Below, we give you a brief instruction for implementing this procedures with the MS Outlook mail client:

- With Atlansys Bastion you have to create encrypted file container, it will contain email client's files. After creation the container is shown in operating system environment as a logical drive with the letter assigned during its creation.

- Open email client configuration "E-mail" located in the Control Panel.

- In the form E-mail settings and configuration click "Data files" and select the form of "Outlook Data Files."

- To create a new mail client data file, which will contain all email messages, click button "Add" in the form of "Outlook Data Files" .

- Select email data file type, type new file name in the field "Filename", or leave it unchanged, and in the field "Folder" choose logical disk, which has been previously created and opened (mounted) by Atlansys Bastion.

- After specifying the file name and its location on a protected drive, form "Creating Microsoft personal folders" will be opened. There you have to set folder name, which will be displayed in the drop-down list "All e-mail folders" of email client. The remaining fields you may leave unchanged, and click "Ok".

- Created email client's file with a specific name will appear on the list of data files of form "Outlook Data Files."

- In order for the new messages immediately saved in the new secured file located in an encrypted disk, choose "Accounts" - "View or change ..." and the drop-down list "Entering the new mail in folder" select previously created file for personal folders.

- Close the form of "E-mail settings". Now your email messages will be stored in the secured encrypted file container by Atlansys Bastion, which you will open with your password before working with email client.
